ADD TA Institute Logo |
In early 2010, the Montana Transition, Training, Information and Resource Center (MT-TIRC) Advisory Board formed a Logo Work Group to create a logo for the project. Work group members, all young adults with developmental disabilities, used a collaborative process to design the MT-TIRC logo. (You can see the new logo at the top of this email.)
One of the work group members, Maclaen Burningham, drew an original design that he was encouraged to submit to a national logo contest sponsored by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities for their annual Technical Assistance Institute. Maclaen's design won the national contest! Here is how Maclaen explains his logo elements:
Rainbow represents hope;
Wheelchair represents people with disabilities;
People represent parents, siblings, teachers, other community members;
World represents getting everyone involved;
Putting all the pieces together will make it a clearer picture.
Maclaen received an all-expenses-paid trip to the TA Institute, which will be held May 5-6th in Arlington, Virginia. Congratulations to Maclaen and to all the Logo Work Group members!
