The goal of education is to prepare students to live productive lives as adults. Many students with and without disabilities will participate in work experiences as part of their high school and post high school preparation for adult life. For students with disabilities, the quality and extent of these experiences can significantly shape what their lives as adults will look like in terms of working in the community. This issue of E-News looks at how to maximize work experiences for students with disabilities.
Features include:
- Work experiences and paid employment
- Making the most of each work experience
- Emerging Leader Perspective: "How I Prepared for Life after School"
- Tips for job coaches
- And our regular features such as the Training Calendar and Other Resources.
