MT Transition Listserv
Transition Tidbits
Good afternoon, Listserv members!  The United States Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy, just released three new fact sheets that "provide constructive disability employment information for parents, youth and employers." Click here to see the fact sheets.

As we begin the countdown to 2009, we would like to remind you of transition-related resources available through the Rural Institute Transition Projects.

(1) Our Web site offers a wealth of information, including newsletters, articles, templates, forms, and links to other state and national resources.

(2) As a service of MT-TIRC (the Montana Transition Training, Information and Resource Center), we can provide hard copies of publications for  training events or for your local distribution.  Click here to download and print the order form.

(3) Our 2007/2008 Web conferences (handouts, PowerPoint slide shows, and audio recordings) have been archived to the Transition Projects and PLUK Web sites.

Topics include: Alternatives to Guardianship; Montana Vocational Rehabilitation; Montana Youth Leadership Forum; Assistive Technology and the Transition Process (2-part training); Montana's Disability Navigators; Independent Living Centers;  Self-Advocacy Skills; and Disability History.

(4) As you access and utilize the Transition Projects resources, we ask that you please take the time to complete our brief online survey.  Your feedback allows us to continually improve the training and products we offer.  To complete the survey, click here. The survey link is also available from the Transition Projects home page.

Have a great week!
