 Dearest DNG participants,
It is hard to believe that we have completed another semester of study together! We concluded our session with three teachings on Tearing Down the Fences of Offenses. Many of you have told me that these teachings are beginning to take root in your relationships. As we continue on this journey in Christ together, my prayer is that we can be an encouragement to one another to grow in our relationship with God and with others. It is so much more fun to be on a journey with dear friends and it is my hope that Drawing Near will provide you with opportunities to grow in those friendships.
As Thanksgiving concludes and Christmas approaches, let us be ever mindful that Christ is calling us to clothe ourselves with humility, kindness, patience, and gentleness. (Colossians 3:12) Love binds all of these virtues together. When we celebrate the coming of the Prince of Peace, let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly.
After the New Year, we will continue our study of the early church using Acts as the backdrop. Before we reconvene, refresh your memory by reading the chapters that we studied in the fall. Let God prepare your hearts to grasp the miracle of how the apostles worked untiringly to establish Jesus' church.
The leadership of Drawing Near and I wish you a blessed Christmas celebration of the birth of our Savior. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

THANK YOU ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the end of our session many of you answered the call to donate to Drawing Near to God Ministry. Joanne painted a clear picture of the ministry and how the Lord is calling us out to the nations. He is raising up ministries in this difficult time and we are one of them! We are excited about the expansion of our ministry and could not do it without your support. We raised nearly $4,000 that day and we thank each and everyone of you for giving to such an amazing cause to preach the Gospel and advance the Kingdom!

Note: For those of you who have pre-registered and already have your Study Guide, please come to class on the 15th with Lesson 7 complete.
For those of you who are registering new this session, please stop by the Office to pick up your Study Guide. You can jump in at Lesson 7 as well. If you want to get caught up on Lessons 1-6, you can do the lessons on your own. Previous teachings (1-6) are available for $5.00 per cd and may picked up at the Office. Our Compassionate Care Team and the Mercy Team of St. Andrews partnered to help the St. Andrews Food Pantry. As a ministry, we were successful in stocking the shelves in a very lean season, helping to serve and nourish countless people in our neighborhood. We have decided to continue with this effort throughout the holidays until the end of our Spring Session. If you have donated, THANK YOU. If you would like to donate, the opportunity is still available now through February 19th.
