Dear Fellow Travelers,
It is difficult for me to believe that we have been out of our Drawing Near session nearly four months. As we begin looking toward our next season together, I am reminded that we are all fellow travelers on a journey of faith. My prayer for each of you and for myself is that we continue to draw near to God as we enjoy the summer season.
This morning my daily devotional reading captured a thought that resonated with me in terms of our spiritual vision. Oswald Chamber, in the book My Utmost For His Highest writes, "Our reach must exceed our grasp." We must never be satified with where we are spiritually. It is tempting for all of us to "coast" in our spiritual lives, but we must daily press into growing in our faith. We are all on a journey and our destination is always found in Jesus Christ. He is the path; He is the process; He is the goal. Paul tells us that we must press on...not look back.
As we travel together in this journey of faith, let us all remember that there is never an "off" season with God, where we coast to the next spiritual high. Every day is the beginning of a journey with Him as He draws us near to Himself, fills us with His Holy Spirit, and leads us into the next adventure with Him
To God be the glory as we follow Him!

ACTS - A CHURCH IN ACTION
Join Joanne Ellison as she uncovers the "acts" of the early church and shares how Christians functioned in the power of the Holy Spirit to build God's kingdom. Her teachings have special emphasis on Paul and his mission to the Gentiles.
This bible study will be divided into a 7-week course in the fall (September 11-October 3, 2008), continuing with a 6-week course in the spring (January 15-February 19, 2009).
-Community-wide study for men and women of all ages, interdenominational
-Thursday Mornings from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
-Live Worship, Small Group Discussion, Teaching, Healing Ministry,

| Welcome our new Administrator

She will oversee the operation of the the ministry under the direction of Joanne. She will work part time over the summer and will begin full time the first part of August. Please welcome Sharon when you see her--she is already hard at work learning the ropes and putting together new and exciting things for the ministry. Welcome aboard Sharon!
