The News at Ecstatic Dance

1.
Sunday circles:  Dance on through...
No more middle circle, but we're bringing back the closing.
Sunday Circle
We're now dancing straight through on Sunday Mornings, 10:30am-1:00pm, closing with a Sound Healing and Invocation.  Shareback (up to 5 minutes) and Community Announcements (30 secs. each) completes the container.  This means more time to dance, and an opportunity to have announcements.  We hope you enjoy the new format!

2.  Dance Outside returns to the Berkeley Famer's Market, Saturday July 10th.
Dance Outside
Join us from Noon to 4pm with DJ's:  Kat, Eric Monkhouse, Bombgoddess, & Swami.  This is a free event, and if you'd like to see this happen more often: please donate online, or at the event.  Bring your friends!

3.  Yoga is taught by David Schlussel, Anusara-Inspired:  Sunday Mornings 9:30 - 10:30am.
David Schluessel
Free with Dance.

4.  Wednesday Night class in July is Contact Improv taught by Jeremy Weichsel 7 - 8pm.
Jeremy Weichsel
Advanced Contact Improv Lab & Jam
now open in the Balcony as well,  7 - 8pm.
Both free with Dance.

5.  Join the Ecstatic Dance . org Facebook group for invites to Ecstatic Dance events, with further details about the DJ's that day.  We'll also remind you when special events come up that you'll want to know about, such as "Dance Outside", "Divine Feminine", and "Ecstatic Trasported Bus."

DJ Spotlight:  Dragonfly
  dragonfly

If you haven't heard DJ Dragonfly

at Sweet's Ballroom for Ecstatic Dance on Sunday Morning, then you haven't quite heard him just right...

Sure, you've grooved with him at other locations,
seen him layin' it down for different events...

but when Dragonfly is in the ballroom,
some piece of magic breaks loose,

the God's unleash the faeries, pixies, minotaurs,
the gnomes, dwarves, goblins, hob goblins,
elves, elemental spirits, past and future Avatars,
and all the freaks throughout the entire bay area descend
upon this sacred dancefloor,

and have a cosmic meeting that cannot be understood
in any other language,

save the one created by two turntables,
the heaving of bodies,

in time to the music...

Thank you Martin,
DJ Dragonfly,
for your epic history
of creating Sacred Dance
in the Bay Area...

Dare we say it...

a Living Legend
in the Conscious Dance scene?

Yes indeed!

Blessings Brutha...

We are honored to have you play for
(with) us!

Come dance this Sunday with Dragonfly
playing the full set
Sunday July 4th,

at Historic Sweet's Ballroom
10:30am - 1:00pm
