DJ Spotlight: MrBlank
 Tyler Blank, who DJ's by his name, MrBlank, has been playing music only since the start of Ecstatic Dance East Bay. As co-founder and musical director of Ecstatic Dance, he has experienced more dances with this community than everyone save Donna Carroll (Goddess bless her heart).
He plans his musical sets as a way to experience a full Human Life-cycle, from dreamlike Conception & the first beats of Birth, exploring into Infancy and Youth, driving into Adulthood with it's high Creations & low Crisis (and back again) down to the Golden Years, and finally into Reflection and Return...
An avid listener, singer, and dancer, he didn't find his own musical instrument until realizing that he could turn his music collection into a "mix-tape" journey to dance to... With a computer, oftware program Ableton Live, and a simple midi controller, those songs have been turned into vast array of Tempos, Genres, Emotions, felt Memories, and new Experiences to move and express oneself with.Tyler is grateful for the dancers who enhabit Ecstatic Dance, knowing they are fully capable to go on the Journey, wherever it may lead: through Serenity and Explosiveness, Bliss and Anger, Joy and Sadness...
all of it and then some... a Musical Journey of Embodied Tranformation. Thank You...
