The News at Ecstatic Dance
1. Ecstatic Dance 2 year Anniversary is May 30th
For our picnic, we'll have a free Ecstatic Dance Outside at the gazebo on the shores of Lake Merritt, 3-7 pm. Lakeside Park. (5 minute walk from usual picnic spot)

2. There will be a Raffle at the Anniversary dancein the Ballroom. Tickets are available at the door for $5 anytime this month. The Raffle supports Ecstatic Dance Outside, so that we may throw more free dances! 3. Yoga is taught by Ashley Apple the rest of May (Hatha Tantra Yoga), Sunday Mornings 9:30 - 10:30am
4. Wednesday Night Contact Improv class is taught by Rana Satori, 7 - 8pm.

DJ Spotlight: Rhythmystic
Kenny has played at Ecstatic Dance East Bay from the beginning of our Journey at Sweet's Ballroom.
When Donna and Tyler were gathering the DJ tribe,
when Rhythmystic said he would play for us,
we knew had our first Ecstatic Magician
behind the turntables,
and that Ecstatic Dance would take off...
He played our 2nd and 4th ever Ecstatic Dances,
The first Ecstatic Dance Marin,
The First Ecstatic Dance Outside,
and at least once a month in the Ballroom since.
Thank you Kenny, for the special blend of uplifting deep down tribal electronica that keeps us moving together!

evening we get to flip the holographic movement fractal that is
Ecstatic Dance and turn it inside up & outside down. Wed. nights
have poured forth their own essential rasa that reflects and drives it.
I could use words like slower, deeper, darker (as in warm &
protected) but I wouldn't want to color our in-the-moment sense of
discovery, so let's just forget I said anything, a'ight? But no doubt,
Wed.'s are fully ON and filled to the brim with peeps and energy and
