Here's your Ecstatic News in October!
1. 10/10 (Oct. 10th) is Yoga Tree's 10 Year Anniversary. To celebrate, we are having an Ecstatic Dance with DJ Tat Sat & Jef Stott and inviting everyone to come for FREE! Dance is from 9:30pm - 1:00am (extended hours) at Yoga Tree Castro. Kirtan at 8:30pm. Let's Dance for Yoga Tree at their Birthday Party...!
2. Ecstatic Dance Marin begins Halloween Eve. October 30th, a Friday Night in Mill Valley! Not only is this a Costumed Ecstatic Dance, and the first one in the North Bay, but has a pool, hot tub, & chillspace for AfterDance! True... complete with massive water slide, and Knowa Knowone spinning tunes by the huge indoor pool and hot tub. Rhythmystic spins the magic like you remember... Ecstatic Dance: 9pm - Midnight

dance communities in the US, Japan and Australia. She is intensely interested in bridging dance and embodied awareness into empowerment and social change communities.

Spotlight - Porangui and Zang
Our first Live music Ecstatic Dance set is happening Sunday Morning, October 11th! Poranguí (pronounced Poh-raan-gee), originally from São José dos Campos,
Brazil, brings a vast array of sounds & textures from his diverse cultural
background & experiences as a
multi-instrumentalist healer.
Eric Zang, who grew up in Arizona, brings a rich palette of sounds from a wide
variety of musical traditions, with a focus on music of the Middle East
through the oud & kaval to name a few. The two performers became full-time residents of Sedona last August and
are now launching their first album on a northwest tour this Fall, 2009
Porangui plays Live African, Brazilian, Middle Eastern and other world music styles into an improvisational musical experience with infectious beats. Come and dance to their infectious rhythms! At Ecstatic Dance - Sunday morning October 11th, Sweet's Ballroom, Oakland
