Greetings to each of you and your families.  2012 Mission Trips have shaped up!

Please pay special attention to the two challenges further down in the newsletter.

It's once again time to leave our comfort zones for the zones that the Lord would have us go to in order to help His little ones who have been robbed of so much. New homes will be started this year and your help is needed.  All skill levels are used.

Coffee The work trailers are sitting and waiting for all the tools to get used by you!  Check out the trips offered on the Website and get signed up today.

Two of the Men's Trips will go into Mexico and one will stay on the North Side of the border.  The Adult Trip in February will also stay on the North Side.  All subject to change as conditions may change in the Reynosa area of Mexico.

"Use your sphere of influence to be a Maker of other HERO Makers"

As one of the pillars of being a HERO in the life of a child at risk, challenging others to join you on a mission trip or to raise funds for the many projects at the children's homes can be a challenge for you!
This too can all be accomplished when we get out of our own way and let the Lord use us in sharing what we know, or what we have seen, that makes a difference for these little ones.
Don't forget to mention the changes that have taken place in your life by being involved in some of these activities for His Kingdom.
Feel free to use this sample letter or this one and personalize it for your needs.  Remember, it's not about just making the trip each year, but about challenging another to join you and raise awareness of the need of the children.

This Month Your Efforts Are Doubled!

Friends, we have an opportunity to have your Project Fundraising Efforts Doubled this month by a donor who will match dollar for dollar up to $20,000 total!  Hallelujah!

We are not looking for your own $$, but for you to use one of the above letters to mail or email to your friends so their giving this month can be matched and your efforts doubled.  All we need is for them to write "match" in the memo section of their check.  As always with any fundraiser event we have, all proceeds (100%) will be used only for construction projects.  No, this won't be matched for your trip fees, or child sponsorship fees - just for outright giving for the purpose of the project costs.

If you haven't given this year then this would be a great time to contribute.  You can Click here to donate online or send a check with the words "match" in the memo area.

Successful  Events are held

1st Annual Kansas City HERO Makers Golf Tournament

and the North Texas Bowlers Raise Project Dollars!

The big winner
The Big Winner

The men of Kansas stepped up to the Tee Box and hit a "hole in one" their 1st time out.  The first annual KC Hero Makers tournament was an absolute success and blast. We were blessed with clear skies and mid 80's with a slight breeze to keep it cool. 33 teams played in just under 5 hours and then had a nice catered meal and social time to share the stories of the day.

The North Texas Bowlers did their thing again and kept it in the lanes by raising more funds for the projects at the children's homes.  Bowling is fun for everyone, and if you need to use the gutter guards to compete, then that's OK!  Look for more fun fundraisers coming out of both of these groups later.

As always, 100% of the proceeds from these events are spent for building materials on the projects at the children's homes.  The labor is free.  That's us, you and me!  Sign up today for your next trip and challenge someone to come with you.

The Ministry of HERO Makers could use your help as well!

Many of you may never have the chance to join us on one of our mission trips.  During this time of unrest Mexico, when the needs are even greater, would you please consider joining our Partnership Team by giving a monthly gift to our ministry. By clicking here you can partner with us in this work of serving His children who are in need, and the many godly individuals who care for them.

Every little bit helps!
