2011 Has Been Interesting!

 

While the Lord has been directing our steps, even in a different direction than we planned (duh), His blessings are new each and every morning.  While the men on the trips were hurting for the little faces we have seen for so many years in Reynosa, He introduced us to a few more of His kids on the U.S. side of the border.  The Lord's work was completed and it was a real blessing to be able to be used, with all the glory going to Him who sits on the throne.

 

Work still continues south of the border to bring projects to completion, and we look forward to starting new ones this coming January.  2012 trip dates will be coming soon.

Two major accomplishments in 2011!
We helped this bible school for young Mexican girls by adding large classrooms to their property, while working with three other groups. This was a real picture of how we are supposed to work together in the future to have a greater impact for His Kingdom.

And who could forget the Ruiz Family

 

After the Ruiz home burned down right before Christmas, it was a real blessing for our men to be involved with others in rebuilding a house for this family of 12.  On the last day of Group 1's trip, after we hung the last bit of sheetrock, the family quickly moved in for a warm night of sleep.

Upcoming Events

 

1st Annual Kansas City HERO Makers Golf Tournament  

 

The men of Kansas are stepping up to the Tee Box to raise funds for the projects down south.  What we are hearing from the Tournament Leader, Wade Leachner, is that the goal for our HERO Makers in the area is to ask other non-Heroes to join you on the golf course for a fun filled day amongst the men, introduce them to the ministry and challenge them to join us this coming January.
