We are in the middle of a MIRACLE IN PROGRESS!  Rocky is on the road in HERO Makers' new 2001 Volvo 770 semi truck and asked me (Sheri Rhoades) to alert you to this amazing display of God's grace AND TO INVITE YOU TO PARTCIPATE!

 

Many of you know Rocky has been diligently searching for a Class 8 semi truck to pull the ministry's 24,000 lb. fifth wheel, which is our current home.  We have been praying specifically for a Volvo 770, white or maroon, preferably donated, but under $30,000 - which at that price would be a miracle. 

The intercessors who pray with me in my ministry, Global Dove Ministries, have also been praying for NO TRUCK PAYMENTS!

For those of you who haven't followed our story in the last 7 days, the original asking price for this truck in Detroit was $35,000.  It had almost everything we wanted and more, including a large sleeper condo, double bunks, a work station, fridge, microwave, TV and still more! However, the owner was about to trade it in on a new model. 

Rocky told him about HERO Makers, and asked if he'd sell it to the ministry for what the dealership was going to give him for the trade. The man said "YES!" and dropped the price to $20,000, so Rock flew to see it in Detroit last Thursday.  Even though tests showed the engine to be in good condition, Rock decided to walk away because of uncertainty about possible needed repairs in other areas.  After thanking the man, He flew to Kansas City to look at other trucks.

While Rock was in Kansas City, the gentleman in Detroit called to offer HERO Makers his 2001 Volvo 770 for $10,000 and to donate the rest of its value to the ministry.  A miracle from heaven!  Hallelujah!

Rock returned to Detroit, worked out the details, and headed south in the new truck Wednesday morning.  He arrived in East Texas around noon yesterday, where the hitch will be installed next Monday.  He stopped for the weekend at my sister's family farm, and by all accounts, everyone said:  "It's BIG!  It's BEAUTIFUL! And you should see Rocky's face!  He's BEAMING!"

SECOND MIRACLE IN PROGRESS - YOU CAN PARTICIPATE

One of our intercessors called me Wednesday morning to donate the first $1,000 toward paying off the truck.  She said she felt many people would want to get in on the blessing. 

A few hours later another person called to say that the truck would be paid off before Rock got home. 

Then one of our Board members called to say, "Let's get this truck paid off before Rocky gets home!"

Apparently God has heard our prayers about NO TRUCK PAYMENTS and is speaking to people to participate in the miracle He's already begun. 

Will you thank God with us that all the needed funds will come in?  We are in the midst of a miracle in progress.

So in response to God's clear direction, yesterday morning while Rock was driving across the country I sent an email to my intercessory network, Global Dove Ministries, explaining what was happening and that $1000 had already been donated. I asked everyone to pray and invited them to participate in what God was doing.

Within an hour another $500 had come in.  By dinner time another $1000.  Then one woman called and said she wanted to donate, but was still praying about it.  She was thinking one number, but sensed God saying another.  I told her to continue to pray about it.  She said, no, she'd tell me now.  She was thinking $500, but God was saying $1000.  Hallelujah for an obedient intercessor who is listening to God!

We had $3500 donated in a few short hours from Global Dove Ministries to pay off the HERO Makers' truck.  Now this morning a donation has come in from Canada, which after conversion will be $200.

Will you please pray about participating in what God is doing now in answering our prayers for the truck to be paid for immediately?

At this point we need $6,300 to cover the initial purchase price of $10,000.   Anything that comes in designated for the truck over and above $10,000 will go to additional truck-related expenses, i.e., the hitch, repairs, and minor modifications that need to be done before the truck is ready to tow the fifth wheel, and future work on the custom truck bed and storage boxes which he'll have to do later in the year. 

All together, including the initial $10,000 payment, Rock expects to spend $20,000 before he gets home.  The custom bed and storage boxes that will be done later in the year will run about $15,000.  To have a beautiful 2001 770 Volvo, in good condition with a custom truck bed for around $35,000 is unheard of.  Most of the people we know with similar rigs have invested $45,000 - $65,000 or more.  God has given a great miracle!

If God gives a big enough "over and above" miracle - and He is a BIG God - we will pay off HERO Makers' debt on the fifth wheel, too.  Thank you, Heavenly Father, for hearing our prayers for the ministry to be DEBT FREE.

Rock will be working on the truck in East Texas this weekend, and if all goes to plan, the hitch will be installed Monday and maybe some repair work; Tuesday the truck gets registered in Livingston, with another stop for tests, modifications and repairs in Houston later that day. 

By God's grace Rock will be back home after 2 weeks on the road sometime next Wednesday.  Will you please pray for my HERO's safety as he drives the new BIG rig around the state?
