ATIA to Offer Webinars on Assistive Technology |
The Assistive Technology Industry Assn.
(ATIA) is launching a series of informational
webinars on assistive technology for people
with disabilities and their families,
professionals working with people with
disabilities (such as teachers,
rehab
counselors, occupational therapists,
etc.),
AT specialists and educational institutions.
The 60- and 90-minute webinars will be offered during August and September. Each webinar costs $39, and includes CEUs for professionals. The first in the series will be held on Thursday, August 13. |

With Asperger's Syndrome, a form of
autism, people often
lack the inner voice that tells them what is,
or is not, appropriate behavior. At Fraser
Center,
staff came up with the idea of programming
iPods to act as an electronic
substitute for that inner voice.
