Homewood is celebrating their 30th anniversary of the Farmers Market. For 30 years Homewood has hosted a famers market with the finest vendors selling fresh food, drinks, vegetables, flowers, and more! Homewood's market opens May 19, 8:00 AM-1:00 PM, in the Village of Homewood parking lot. Look for celebrations filled with music, dance, and more throughout the market season!
We have added to the market "Green Thumb Saturdays" this monthly, free program is designed to educate both novice and experienced gardeners of the latest techniques in gardening. The presentations will be held on Saturdays, from 9:30 AM-10:15 AM, in Homewood's Village Hall Council Chambers. Green Thumb Saturdays is co-sponsored by the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardner Program and The Village of Homewood's Tree Committee.

Our first CASH MOB was such a success, we are doing it again! Mark your calendars: Saturday, May 19th, for the second Homewood Cash Mob event will take place! The Cash Mob movement is a new grassroots effort that uses social and traditional media to gather people together to "mob" a local business. Re-acquaint yourself with all the great items Homewood has to offer, help provide a mini-economic stimulus and free publicity for a deserving business, and enjoy a fun opportunity to connect with other residents.
