Theatre & Arts Leadership Kouncil (TALK) is possibly Homewood's newest not-for-profit and what a "Buzz" they are creating about whom they are and what exciting things they have planned. TALK's mission is to provide a voice for diverse populations using the expressive, transformative and rejuvenating power of the arts.

After a full night of painting murals, the dedicated teens from TALK will display their murals on Thursday, December 29, at 6:00 AM at the Metra station in downtown Homewood. These murals represent the organization and its members.  TALK will present their artwork, a New Year message and free coffee to commuters at the Metra station.

TALK cannot wait to demonstrate other arts-based projects that will utilize volunteer instructors from Homewood's active arts community, to create multi-media events featuring the work of the youth.

Come out and meet TALK and view their creative murals. For more information about TALK, please go to www.talksouthland.org or 708-365-TALK (8255)

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!

Even though we have only had a few flurries this winter; we still have months to go. To assist during the snowy winter, Vineyard Church would like to offer assistance to shovel sidewalks for our senior Homewood residents.

If you are interested in this generous opportunity, please call Shannon Olison of The South Suburban Vineyard Church at 708-960-4483. This is a volunteer program from Vineyard Church and they are eager to help as many seniors as they can handle.
