Join us this Saturday for a Cycle Workshop offered by GoodSpeed Cycles -- the first of our family events at the Market. Ride your bikes to the Market, and get a free bike and helmet inspection plus maintenance tips and free estimates from the experts at GoodSpeed cycles. Learn about local bike routes and check out the Belleville: a gorgeous early 20th century French porteur-inspired bike that is eco-conscious from headlight to fender. June 25th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The July Fourth Independence Day parade is a Homewood tradition that celebrates the birthday of our great nation and the many faces of our great community. The route starts at St. Joe's on Dixie Highway and travels east along Ridge Road, finishing up at Izaak Walton Preserve where the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District and Homewood Fire Department will host games and entertainment at the Family Fun Fest. |

Application Deadline: Thursday, June 28
If you are a local service group, youth group, or not-for-profit, entering a decorated float into the parade is a memorable and excellent opportunity to showcase your cause/mission to the community.
To reserve a space in the parade lineup, complete and return a Homewood Parade Application . Enclose correct payment (checks only, made out to Village of Homewood). The application deadline is June 28. Parade applications may be dropped off at Village Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to Noon.
The Village reserves the right to refuse entrant applications to ensure and maintain the vision and objective of the overall event, and may restrict the number of entrants/participants to meet public safety and event time commitments. Parade placement is based upon space, number of participants, and on a first-come-first-served basis. |

The family-friendly Homewood Days will feature carnival rides, games, three stages of live entertainment and local fare. The event hours are Friday and Saturday, 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Sunday, noon to 9:00 PM. There is a daily $5.00 admission fee for adults and children 12 years old and over - children 11 and under enter free of charge. Proceeds benefit the Homewood Area Chamber of Commerce.

Homewood Days starts on Friday, July 8 and concludes Sunday, July 10 with the Homewood International Cycling Classic;
the longest-running multi-day bicycle race in the U.S,
attracting category one and two riders - these are the cyclists who go on to compete in races like the Tour de France.
We encourage all of you to cheer, watch and be part of the excitement - and invite family and friends to join you! There will be multiple cycling races throughout the day with the first race beginning at 10:00 AM.
Click here for a map that designates the race route and the open and closed alleys. The following streets will be closed for the Bike Race on July 10:
- Dixie Highway from 183rd Street to Hickory Road
- Hickory Road from Dixie Highway to Martin Avenue
- Martin Avenue from 183rd Street to Hickory Road
- Olive Road from Morris Avenue to Martin Avenue
- Morris Avenue from 183rd Street to Olive Road
- 183rd Street north lanes only from Dixie Highway to Morris Avenue
Please note: If emergency vehicles need access to any home or business along the route, they will have complete access. Riders will be stopped and emergency vehicles will be allowed to cross streets. Additional customer parking will be provided for affected businesses located at 183rd Street and Dixie Highway, in the Charter One Bank parking lot.

Candlelight Yoga for Cancer Support Center | |
Reflections Yoga Center will hold a fundraiser for the Cancer Support Center on Friday, July 22 from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM at their studio located at 18675 Dixie Highway.
