Homewood Veterans Committee |
|
 The Homewood Veterans Committee is an 11 year old organization with former military and civilian members. They are all Homewood residents with a mission to support the country and its veterans, particularly veterans in Homewood and the surrounding area. On this day, Veterans Day, the Committee honors all those who serve and have served in the US Armed Forces.

 Friday, November 13 through Sunday, November 15,downtown merchants will open their doors to showcase the best of this year's holiday gift ideas during the Annual Merchants' Open House. For information on hours, special promotions, discounts, raffles, and giveaways contact your favorite downtown business. This event is sponsored by the Downtown Homewood Business Association. |
Free Leaf Pick Up Program Begins |

Homewood Disposal Service provides residents a free fall leaf collection during regular garbage pickup. There are three weeks remaining for this free service:
- November 18
- November 25
- December 2
Please remember, this program requires that only leaf debris be collected sticker free. If you have any questions related to garbage service, please call Homewood Disposal directly at (708) 798-1004. |
Tree Trimming Service |

Winkler's Tree Service, operating blue colored equipment, has begun tree trimming operations, heading eastbound at 191st and Center Avenue. If you have a concern regarding this service, please contact Village Arborist Jim Tresouthick , or call (708) 206-3396. |

Friends of the Homewood Library will host its annual Book Bonanza, November 27 through December 2. The sale will take place for several days and will feature fine quality, collectable books, most in gift giving condition.
