FAQ:  Neighborhood Watch Program
Q:  Why should I start a Neighborhood Watch and what are the benefits?

A Neighborhood Watch is the most successful anticrime initiative in the country. It is the most effective and least expensive tool used by law enforcement and concerned citizens.

Neighborhood Watch Programs:
  • reduce the risk of becoming a victim of a crime through training
  • teach you how to spot suspicious activity
  • address issues of concern in your neighborhood
  • provide opportunitunites for you to know your neighbors
  • identify your neighborhood as proactive in crime prevention.

For information about starting a Neighborhood Watch in your area, contact Homewood Police Officer Curt Wiest at (708) 206-3426.
