| Question: Who decorates the flower beds with the beautiful greenery around town for the winter months?
Answer: The responsibilities of the Beautification Committee include mapping out the details regarding the planting of flowers and choice of hanging baskets in the central business district or downtown. During the winter months, the committee is responsible for the winter decorations placed in the various pots and planters, as well as the holiday lighting near the south viaduct. In May of each year, committee members, with the help of Public Works employees, prepare and plant large flower pots and planters throughout the Village. Public Works crews place the planters and hanging baskets throughout the downtown and help water and maintain throughout the growing season. |
