Lake Ave. (corner of Pfingsten and Lake)
Step into the enchanted world of a "tale as old as time!" Based on the Academy Award winning animated feature, the stage version of Disney's Beauty and the Beast transports you to the heart of provincial life in a lovely French town, the home of eccentric old Maurice and his lovely daughter Belle. When Maurice becomes lost in the woods on the way to the fair, he seeks shelter in an old castle, but the master of the castle is a horrible beast who takes him captive. Belle must then give up her freedom to save her father's life. Belle's taming of the unfortunate Beast and his ultimate transformation back into a handsome prince, as well as the singing and dancing of the enchanted objects in the castle, enthralled Broadway patrons for over 13 years. Now, "be our guest" at this wonderful production for audiences of all ages. The Glenview Theatre Guild's production of Beauty and the Beast is a great way to discover high-quality theater at a very reasonable price. General admission tickets good for any one performance are just $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut or the Park District Administration Office, 1930 Prairie St. Tickets may also be purchased online by clicking here.
