Open the "Window of Opportunity" for your child
The best view to the "world of learning" for your child starts with the Glenview Park District's Park Center Preschool classes for three and four year olds. Our program is designed to give your child the tools and experiences he/she needs to assure a positive transition to kindergarten and beyond. SUMMER IN FEBRUARY OUTDOOR POOL PASS SALE
Through February 28 
Don't miss your chance to get super early bird rates! Outdoor pool passes provide season-long admission to Flick Pool, 3600 Glenview Rd., and Roosevelt Pool, 2239 Fir St. You may purchase your outdoor pool pass online (click here) or in person at Park Center. Both pools will be open daily beginning June 12-August 22. Roosevelt will have weekend preseason hours beginning May 29 and postseason weekend hours through September 6 (Labor Day).

Friday night Fish Frys are back! Join The Cafe at the Glenview Park Golf Club for a delicious buffet featuring soup and salad, baked haddock, fried cod loin, popcorn shrimp, fried clams and more. $12.95 per person ($8.95 for children 12 and under). Cocktails and other menu items are also available. Seating is first-come, first served. Additional dates: February 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2, 9, 16 & 23.

There's still time to register and join us for an enchanted evening fit for a royal princess. Girls, ages 4-12 and their special date are invited to attend a royal celebration in the elegant Lakeview Rooms at Park Center. LifeSource and Chicago's North Shore Convention & Visitors Bureau will be hosting a blood drive during the resident open house. One hundred percent of the blood collected will be going to hospitals in the community. There is a major shortage, especially O+, O-, A+, B+, but every blood type is needed to sustain a life. To schedule an appointment, please contact Sabina Schleiss at 847-682-8394 or e-mail [email protected]Appointments recommended but walk-ins are welcome. Meet the turtles from The Grove Interpretive Center's indoor turtle pond and learn all about turtles in this show and tell, hands-on program for children ages 4-6 with an adult. CRAFTY CALVES an adult-child program

Kids ages 3-5 and an adult can meet and learn about our farm animals, then make a special animal craft. February's featured animal is the pig. DECORATIVE PAINTING 101

Saturday, February 27, 9 am-2 pm 
Learn the basics of decorative painting using acrylics and several different types of brushes in this beginner's class for adults led by Debi Gajewski, a member of The American Society of Decorative Painters. Explore color mixing and brushstroke techniques using a flowerpot you get to decorate and keep. Fee includes all supplies. Bring an old shirt or apron to protect your clothing as well as a sack lunch. Register online or at Park Center. $32.50 (R)/$ 40.63 (NR). Use activity number 207108-A.

Learn to skate this spring!
In-person registration for Spring Figure Skating and Development Hockey Lessons starts Monday March 1. The Glenview Ice Center will offer a 9 week session of figure skating lessons for very young children through adults and a 9 week session of Development Hockey for beginning skaters. Lessons begin the week of March 8. All registration takes place at the Glenview Ice Center.

Season Golf Passes, Season Tee Times On Sale March 1 at 9 am. Streamline sign up by bringing last year's pass and two forms of identification. An Illinois driver's license and utility bill are needed to prove Glenview residency. Click for season golf pass information and information on permanent tee times.
 
Winter "Closest to the Pin" Contest, March 6, 12-2 pm. Take three shots to get closest to the pin in this pre-season contest. The field is split into several divisions and clubs are provided if needed. First through fourth place winners receive golf shop certificates based on the amount of entry fees. The more entries, the larger the pot will grow. Register online or at Park Center. $5 (R)/$ 6.25 (NR). Use activity number 308025-A.
 
Registration is also permitted the day of the event at the golf club. The Cafe will have hot chocolate, light lunch fare and cocktails available for purchase.

Girls Spring Softball Season Is on the Way
Calling all girls! Dust off those cleats and get ready for another exciting spring of softball! The Glenview Park District fields leagues for girls in grades 1-8. Fees vary. Click here for more information. Register online or at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave.

NEW! Kindergarten Girls Softball Instructional Program
The Glenview Park District has teamed up with Illinois Baseball Academy, the same people who instruct our popular Mini Majors Baseball program, to teach kindergarten girls the very basics of softball through fun, non-competitive activities and games. Adult Softball Leagues Heat Up the Summer
Looking for some fun, friendly competition with friends, family and co-workers? Get your game on and get your team together for all the excitement and action of the Glenview Park District's adult softball leagues. Games are played weeknights and Sundays at Community Park West beginning April 25 with a season-ending tournament held for each league.
