Spiritual Practice, followed by dinner
Sunday, April 6, 5:00pm

recycleSustainability Show & Tell

Our theme in April is sustainability.

This week, bring an item, photo, or a story about how you have tried, succeeded, or struggled with doing something in a more sustainable way. A homemade calendar? Refurbished furniture? Reclaimed wood?

How did you recycle, reuse, rethink?

Our spiritual practice will include prayers for the earth.

Potluck Dinner afterwards at 6:00
Entre, salad, bread provided by volunteers--bring sides or dessert to share.

We still need someone to bring the entre, and someone to bring the salad.

If you can do it, email Nanette at nsawyer (at) wickerparkgrace (dot) net.

bad_food Debbie Blue, Russell Rathbun and Linda Buturian will be in Chicago at Wicker Park Grace to read from their books and talk about the Church they started with their friends way back at the dawn of the Emergent/ emergence/ emerging movement.

Come join the conversation--how does a worshiping community committed to radical grace and liturgical eclecticism sustain itself over time, or where ever else it may go.

This is the April meeting of the up/rooted.city emergent cohort.

from Ayala Leyser, a friend of Laura Weathered from the neighborhood arts council: "Please help me study attitudes towards Faith and lack of faith in today's society, by responding to a short anonymous questionnaire. My interest is purely academic, I am writing a book and am trying to validate (or discard) some of my thoughts on Faith. Results are not going to any interest group, commercial or spam list of any kind. Your anonymity is guaranteed." Click the link to go take the survey.
