Derry Mayor Acknowledges WiFi Success

Derry Mayor, Paul Fleming, arrived at Airporter to acknowledge the recent success of the new WIFI service onboard all Airporter services.

Since the launch of the service 4 weeks ago, over 1,000 passengers have logged on and enjoyed FREE internet access.

Representatives from Belfast International Airport and from Aer Lingus were also in town to support the WiFi initiative.

The Mayor is shown how the system works and how the project ties in with Derry's Wireless City Programme.

Passengers are now able to make the most of their transfer time either for business or leisure pursuits.

The WIFI service is available on all Airporter scheduled services and is provided by Fleet Connect who supplied the technology. Further information on the WIFI product can be obtained by visiting www.fleetconnect.ie
 
North West business traveller hails the success of new WIFI service
David Coutts, a long-time Airporter customer praised the new WiFi service.

"I work for GE Oil and Gas in Angola, West Africa on a month on/month off rotation," he said.

"I spend two days travelling to get there and to return home. Keeping in touch with what is happening with the business is essential to me and the Airporter's free Wi-Fi is a tremendous service allowing me to keep on top of my work, I just wish all airports had the same level of service."
 
Belfast International Airport and Aer Lingus Come to Town
Aer Lingus and Belfast International Airport representatives were on hand in Derry this week to celebrate the phenomenal success of Airporter's Wifi.

Both praised the award-winning company for their innovative approach to helping drive Northern Irish business forward.

Deborah Matchett from BIA said: "Airporter is leading the way in providing comfortable, timely airport transfers.

They are to be further congratulated on the launch of this new WiFi service which will undoubtedly be popular with both business and leisure passengers."

Belfast International Airport has recently joined the Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau and Aer Lingus have recently become members of the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce.
