One of my Favorite Pinot Noirs Scores Big - Again! | | |
2009 Sineann Pinot Noir - Resonance Vineyard - $36.00 (94 pts WS)
Peter Rosback is consistently one of my favorite winemakers in Oregon (and as consulting winemaker for a number of other labels). He has honed his craft to create finely tuned product, seldom missing the mark of making well-priced, flavorful wine, with a number of varieties showing off his flair for excellence. {To learn more about Peter, check out the Cork and Demon blog at http://thecorkanddemon.blogspot.com/2006/05/peter-rosback-sineann-winery.html for a fun interview.}
Over the last six months, I have had the pleasure of tasting many Sineann wines and found the 2008 Resonance Vineyard Pinot Noir to be a stand out - I loved it! Sorry I didn't order more, I was "forced" to go with the 2009 Resonance Pinot Noir and was incredibly pleased to discover that it remains excellent in every respect. Receiving, yet again, a 94-point score from Wine Spectator, the 2009 RV P. Noir is a wine you must add to your cellar. If you allow yourself only one pricier bottle of wine a year, I cannot stress enough the quality of this Pinot Noir. And for $36/bottle it's an amazing value - especially when compared to the $60+ Pinot Noir you find so often in the Willamette Valley.
I won't be requiring a 3-bottle minimum purchase with this newsletter if you are interested in trying this wine. Give me a call or e-mail me soon as this wine ALWAYS sells out! And, yes, I bought more this time around! |

Dear Wine Friend --
All those who believe the upcoming forecast, raise your right hand!! Yes, folks, I think I'm drinking the Kool-Aid and believing that next week we'll see the 80's again. And with that prediction, I have some delicious whites, rosés, and a couple of red blends that will tickle your taste buds and light up your discerning palate.
This is a particularly good time to stock up on these wines as they are on summer post-off. These prices will stick around through June or as long as there is inventory, whichever comes first. I always have a white and a rosé cooling in my fridge, easy to bring out when the moment is right.
E-mail me today with your order - and I'll have it to you by the middle of next week.
And Happy Father's Day to my "dad" customers out there.....keep up the good work!
Cheers! |
