The Over Supply of Wine

Who would have thought that Oregon would be talking about a "wine glut?"  But that is exactly what we have.  The Oregon wine industry is facing a dilemma.  Not only is Oregon producing more grapes, but more acres are coming online over the next 2-3 years.  The downside to this news is that sales last year fell nearly 5%.  As a result, the wine industry has felt pressure to reduce prices across the board.  So, what does that mean to you as the consumer.  Remember the basics of supply and demand?  Well, here we are in that exact scenario.

See my wine picks below - reflecting the best of what Oregon and other West Coast wineries have to offer.  Call me (503-310-4576) or e-mail me (customwinemarketing@hotmail.com) with your order.

Chris and PupsaImportant Changes to CWM ~~

I started Custom Wine Marketing the Spring of 2005, by selling one bottle at a time.  A year later, I expanded my little enterprise to include my "Wine-O-Wednesday" e-mails, with good value wine, new releases, and new wineries.  I then had the good fortune to partner with companies and caterers to provide wine for local events.  Your loyalty to Custom Wine Marketing while I was basically AWOL has not gone unnoticed.

I have had several opportunities over the last few months to re-evaluate where I would like to take this boutique wine business.  And one thing I have learned is there is only so much time in a day.  So, starting April 1, 2010 I will only be able to accept orders for a minimum of 3 bottles.  This doesn't mean all three bottles need to be the same.  You just need to choose a minimum of three bottles, and you will get the same personal attention including hand delivery that you have come to expect from Custom Wine Marketing.

It has been my pleasure to serve you!
