Julia's pots and pans have left the building! In 2002, Copia (now defunction in Napa, CA) unveiled an exhibit of Julia Child's cookware. Today, you can find them in the Smithsonian National Museum in Washington D.C.
Believe it or not, one group from the Pacific Northwest actually LIKED the +100 degree weather recently....Growers in Washington and Oregon
expect the high heat to allow for an early harvest and no fungi. Translation: little or no spraying - yeah!
There are no shortage of 2008's coming out now - keep your eye out! Next month I'll showcase some amazing values for Oregon Pinot Noirs. Cheers! |

| ". . .direct from vine to table."
August 2009 |
Dear Wine Enthusiast:
Summer in the vineyard is busy as harvest looms in the not-too-distant future. Canopies are being cropped; fruit is being thinned; and 2008 wines are being bottled and released. It seems the only "quiet" time is December and January! I have had the pleasure of tasting some of the 2008's and I am excited to offer them as they are available.
In this issue of CWM Newsletter, I have chosen to highlight Seven $11 and Under wines. You'll find bright white wines, a crisp rose' and full bodied, full flavored reds. And the value is unmistakable.
Cheers! |

Heard it through the Grapevine...
You may find this interesting . . .
CWM has undergone a number of recent additions and changes. Check out my website at www.customwinemarketing.com to see them first hand. There you will find the same wines featured in this newsletter as well as from previous "Alerts" and new releases. I have added a Wine and Service Menu so you can check out the other services CWM has to offer. All my newsletters and Alerts have been archived and available to read, as well as my blog entries. It was my desire to make my website much more user-friendly. And the option to order wine and pay for it online is another new enhancement. Check it out and tell me what you think?
And one of those enhancements will be the launch of Cellar Select - a unique wine club membership. As a member of Cellar Select, you will receive bi-monthly deliveries of wine after choosing which level of membership you desire -- Red Select, White Select, Mixed Select, or Barrel select. Shortly after Labor Day, you will receive a personal invitation to join. Don't limit yourself to wine from just one winery like other Wine Clubs. By joining Cellar Select you will receive wine from several different wineries, areas of the world, and different varietals to try. I'm really excited about this and look forward to sharing it with you. |

"Seven $11 and Under"

2007 Arbor Crest Riesling: Hand picked and hand sorted, this wine shows bright pineapple, lemon and honey characteristics that unfold on the palate as peach and almond. Slightly sweet to balance the bright acidity to create a long and supple finish. $10/bottle.
2008 Pedroncelli Zinfandel DRY Rosé: Light ruby red in color with aromas of just-picked strawberries. Flavors of red raspberry, vanilla and peach blend together in this very enjoyable, end-of-summer rosé. Perfect with burgers and grilled salmon. $10/bottle
