Happy New Year!
2007 was an awesome year, and I thank you for your business! This is historically a slow time in the vineyard and the winery. The vines are dormant but that isn't to say they aren't active -- storing up their energy for the big burst in the next couple of months. In the winery, the wine is aging, taking on all the flavors and complexities of the 2007 vintage. Everything is pointing to some amazing wine in 2007, and you can be sure that I will be doing my best to search out the best for your buying pleasure!
Cheers!

Chris' Wine Picks
Spain and Argentina are the origins of my wine picks this month.
For example, try: 2000 Campo Viejo Gran Reserva Rioja ($17) or the 2001 Vina Salceda Reserva ($19.50)...both excellent choices for the rich, spicy red wine from Spain. Argentina is making inroads with their Malbec. May I suggest the 2002 Valero Malbec for $10.20? And let's not overlook the Oregon producer Abacela, receiving many accolades for their 2005 Tempranillo ($29.75) - a Matt Kramer favorite. Perfect winter wines!
Starting in February, you will be able to access my Wine Menu for on my website under the heading Product Offering. |
