Sonic cleansing is not just for your face anymore. Bring back the summer glow and prep for a seamless sunless tan with Clarisonic Pro's body brush. Sonic action gently exfoliates hard to tan areas like knees and elbows, creating a perfectly primed canvas for your favorite sunless tanning product. The Clarisonic Body Brush Extension Handle is designed to help you more comfortably cleanse the back, legs, knees and feet.
The Body Brush Extension Handle is compatible with the Clarisonic PLUS and PRO Face & Body Sonic Cleansing Systems only.
My family loves this attachment which is very easy to attach and remove. Remember, this will not work with Mia2, just with the Clarisonic Pro that we carry in the office.

Greetings!
I am pleased to announce the latest innovation in my practice--the Max G IPL treatment!
I've been using IPL technology for over ten year now and have used a variety of machines. Never have I found one that works as well as the new Max G hand piece by Palomar. I am pleased to offer this treatment option to target Rosacea, facial spider veins, brown sun spots, flushing, and poikelederma of the neck (red/brown splotchy neck coloration) from chronic sun damage.
Read below for more information or call to schedule a consultation.
Whether you are preparing for one of life's milestones (graduation, weddings, reunions) or just planning to enjoy your summer, we look forward to seeing you and helping you look your best.
Sincerely, Michelle B. Vessely, MD |

New Palomar IPL with Max G handpiece
As many of you know, I love technology and use it everyday. I can get pretty excited when I find a new machine that really makes a difference in improving your skin. I am very happy to add the Palomar IPL technology to my practice, especially with the very powerful and customizable Max G hand piece.
With this new device, I can help give you a more even complexion--targeting splotchy red and brown skin, sun spots, spider veins, rosacea. I believe you will see better results with fewer treatments with this device. The settings are very customizable, allowing me to treat patients with the most sensitive rosacea prone skin as well as those with tough, sun damaged skin.
More good news: Our second hand piece for this IPL is perfect for targeting brown sun spots on your chest, arms and other off-face locations.
And, I know what you're thinking--Yes, this treatment is very comfortable!! Topical anesthetic is not necessary for most patients with this treatment.
Sun spots, Rosacea, facial spider veins, flushing, sun damage...we can help. Schedule an appointment and take the first step towards a smoother, more even complexion. |
Rosacea
Rosacea is a skin condition that is associated with facial redness, including flushing, facial spider veins and sometimes pustules and nodules. It typically affects the nose, cheeks, chin and central forehead. This condition is more common in fair skinned populations but can affect anyone. No one knows the exact cause of Rosacea, and, although there is no cure for Rosacea, there are a variety of medical treatments that may help control it and minimize it's impact on the patient's life style. Patients often report social and work problems related to their facial redness and are pleased to learn more about treatment options.
It is best to avoid the triggers that aggravate Rosacea. These are different for each person, but here is a list of the more common triggers: Sun exposure, wind, heat and cold exposure, hot baths, stress, irritants in skin care products or makeup, alcohol, hot beverages, spicy foods, certain medications.
Topical and oral antibiotics are widely used to treat Rosacea, especially pustular Rosacea and ocular rosacea (involving the eyes). A gentle skin care regimen is reccommended as well as wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen (most patients find mineral based sunscreen containing zinc oxide and titanium dioxide less irritating).
Finally, certain lasers and light devices can be enormously helpful for patients with rosacea. I have used a KTP laserfor years to target the spider veins on the face. IPL is a great treatment for overall facial redness or flushing. Our newest addition to the practice is our Palomar IPL with the powerful Max G hand piece. It is fast, comfortable to do without topical anesthetic, and typically requires fewer IPL treatments than other devices to control the signs of rosacea on the face. |
