Recently, I had the pleasure of reviewing pre and post photos with a couple of patients that I have known for almost ten years. It was fun to see the improvement in their appearance since the first consultation here. Yes, these patients (like many others) look better now than they did in 2000. Since this is something that happens not infrequently here, I thought I'd share with you what these two patients have done to accomplish this. First of all, both wear sunscreen daily (yes, even when cloudy, rainy or spending the day inside). Both use good skin care regimens. One has had several Fraxel treatments over the past 2 1/2 years, an occasional facial or microdermabrasion and, of course, stopped tanning. The other patient has had Photodynamic Therapy to treat precancerous skin lesions, and to reduce brown and red spots on facial skin. This patient has also had a Thermage Treatment every 2 years or so, and has used fillers such as Juvederm and BOTOX Cosmetic from time to time. These are all minimal to no down-time procedures, and can be done with discretion. They are both pleased to look natural, and to be aging (though you can't see it on the photos!) gracefully.
