Bible Study
Have you ever...

hungered for a deeper walk with God...

or looked for a Bible study to fit into your busy schedule...

or struggled to believe...

or wanted to find out more about what your child is learning at school

Have you ever wanted to have the peace and the security that calms your soul in turbulent times?

Come join us on Friday afternoons from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. for Seeking His Kingdom, a Bible study on the book of John led by school chaplain, Ray Leatherman.

Have you ever...
artwork for Entrusted with a Child's Heart
discovered something that was too good to keep to yourself?

Then you'll know how we feel about Entrusted with a Child's Heart

Each Monday night Heiskell mothers meet in the
Media Room (across from
the library) from 7:00 -
9:00 p.m.  They are on a journey to discover treasures about parenting, treasures found in the Bible.

Each lesson is designed to build upon the last but will be a blessing no matter when you begin attending.

Parenting topics include subjects such as

A MOTHER'S TOUCH AND THE NATURE OF A CHILD
A godly mother understands the significance of her role

THE REIGN OF CHRIST IN THE HEART OF MAN
A godly mother trains her children to see God as their
     lifelong authority

     "NEVER GIVE UP"
A godly mother goes to battle for the heart of her child

     GUARDING A CHILD'S MIND
A godly mother chooses her child's environment wisely

     CHARACTER BUILDING
A godly mother trains her children in godly character

     GROWING IN RELATIONSHIPS
A godly mother teaches her children to be loving and
forgiving with siblings and wise in choosing friends
and to be accountable in relationships

Mothers with children of all ages
will find teaching which is applicable and relevant to their homes. If you or a friend are hungering for practical, Bible-based encouragement in your quest to rear honorable, godly children, mark Monday nights as your night out and come join us.  You'll be refreshed and encouraged, and all in your family will reap the benefits.

In the meantime, look up the Notes from Betsy on the Entrusted website to gain insight into situations every mom faces.  The latest topics, "Mommy, I was just..." and "Tantrums", might have been written just for you or me!

If you have any questions, please contact "Miss Katie" Kokko who is guiding our moms through this remarkable study once again.  She can be reached through the school.

wanted to discover God's heart for your child...

or needed practical help for the daily challenges of rearing children...

or needed to be encouraged...

or needed the assurance that biblical truths bring freedom and direction...

John Rosemond's Parenting by The Book will be a blessing.

Click on the link to order a signed copy, and check out John's Essays which challenge us to think biblically about child rearing. In a world which bombards us with messages, where can we find truth? Only in God's Word.  Paul warns us, "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of the world rather than on Christ." (Colossians 2:8)  John Rosemond draws us back to the truth that does indeed set us free.

Have you ever...

found that your busy schedule does not allow time to go to a Bible study...

or longed to have a Biblical scholar address issues that are relevant to your life today?

The remarkable, Cambridge-educated scholar and statesman, Derek Prince, was a gifted teacher whose teachings are encouraging the next generation of believers through Derek Prince Legacy Radio.  Happily, current and archived teachings are available through the website where you can sign up for the daily podcast or download series such as

   Where to Find Security

   Facing the Future

   What Is Truth?

Why Do These Things Happen to God's People?

What God's Word Will Do for You

Don't know how to podcast? The website provides easy to follow steps.

Derek Prince is my favorite Bible teacher, next to our school chaplain, Mr. Leatherman.  What a privilege we have to be able to sit under both!
