A View of the Classroom The Arts - Art | |
Art is an integral component in a Montessori classroom.
Children are free to spend quiet moments in the classroom painting, drawing, or working with age-appropriate crafts.
Students often incorporate art into their lessons while studying history, science, math, and international cultures. Children will also illustrate their own stories while working in writing and grammar.

Art, drama and music appreciation are re-introduced in greater depth throughout the years. |

Tickets now available for our spring production of "Alice in Wonderland." There will be two performances on Sat, May 15, at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., at Bicentennial Park in Joliet.
A girl named Alice sees a talking white rabbit. She follows it down a rabbit hole and finds herself lost in a mysterious wonderland where she meets many crazy creatures including the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire cat, and the Queen of Hearts. Join us as we present a JMS original adaptation of the amazing and funny world of Alice in Wonderland.
The students have worked on all aspects of the production including writing, directing, publicity, set design, costume design, and props as well as acting. Please come to support our students and all their hard work. Tickets are available through the office, with an early bird discount available until Fri, May 7.
See order form for more information.
