will be held on Mon, Nov 9, and Tues, Nov 10.  Both of these days are noon dismissals. 
 
Extended Care is available on all half day dismissals until 6 p.m. 
 
Please contact the office to schedule your appointments, as directors have varying availabilities.  Extended Care is available as a courtesy during conferences until 5:45 pm appointments.

Faculty Staff Luncheons
As a way of thanking our faculty and staff for their dedication to our children, the Home and School Association would like to once again provide lunch for them during conference days.
 
If you are interested in donating an item for the lunch please contact Mary Spesia at (815) 727-2948 or mspesia@sbcglobal.net. We ask that all menu items be delivered to school during morning carpool on Mon, Nov 9.
 
The following items are still available:
 
1 Fruit Tray
1 Pasta Salad (no meat)
1 lettuce salad w/ dressings
1 vegetarian salad (egg, bean. etc..)

Decision Making Process

Circumstances sometimes dictate that changes be implemented in the operation of JMS.  These suggestions may come from faculty, staff, parents or external agencies such as AMI or ISM.  The following process is in place for adopting procedural changes:

*  All changes are evaluated in reference to Montessori Pedagogy. 
*  Classroom issues are referred to our faculty.
*  Administrative issues are decided by the Head of School.
*  Issues requiring parental input and implementation may result in the formation of an ad hoc committee reporting to the Head of School and the Board of Trustees.   
*  Issues resulting in a change to the by-laws must be voted on by the Board.  
*  Decisions will be communicated to parents in a timely fashion.
