Welcome Back Picnic
Join us Sunday, September 13th from 3:30 - 6 pm, at Inwood Park in Joliet for our annual Welcome Back Picnic. You will find us in the large pavilion in front of the playground. Bring a main dish for your family and your favorite picnic dish to share if you would like. Plates, napkins, cups, utensils, and water will be provided. We will also have several grills fired and ready for your family meal.

New this year: We will have JMS Logo t-shirts available for sale at the picnic! Are you one of those families who always finds the order form on your desk after the due date? T-shirts are $10.00 each, and will be available in child and adult sizes, while supplies last.

Directions from the school: Start out going south on Weber Road. Weber Road turns into Larkin Avenue. Turn right onto Jefferson Street/Route 52. Inwood Park is approximately 2 miles west of Larkin on Jefferson Street next to the Inwood Golf Course near Essington Road.

Primary Fall Family Playdate
Primary students and their families are invited to come and play on Friday, September 25th, from 5-7 pm, in the new Outdoor Environment. A light supper will be provided, you may bring either an appetizer or dessert to share if you like. Click here for an event flyer.

We need to properly plan for the meal, and therefore are requesting that all primary families RSVP for the event by Wednesday September 16th. You may do so one of three ways: use the September Reply Form, call Ms. Lorraine, our Director of Parent Relations, at 815-741-4180, or email Ms. Lorraine at lorraine@jolietmontessorischool.org. Please indicate the number of adults and number of children attending.

Absences

If your child will be absent, please contact the office at 815-741-4180.  Should your child contract a contagious disease, please notify the school immediately so that we may alert the faculty and other parents.  Contact your family physician for time frames for children returning to school.  You may also refer to this page for further information.

Children who are ill should recuperate at home.  We ask you to be considerate not only of your own child's health but also that of the other children and the staff.  Your child may be removed from the classroom, at the discretion of the director, to help prevent the spread of illness and contagious diseases.
