from local pet stores and has set up a great number of pickups that have
provided us with a tremendous amount of food, treats and toys for the animals.
... To our supporters within the community ... Pet Valu, for continuing to send donations of pet food.
... Jeni Grant, CPDT-KA, of Train Your Best Friend LLC, who is leading our workshops for new dog adopters on the first Tuesday of each month.
... Adventist Health Care and Calvert Group employees for continuing to support us with both monetary and food donations.
... Dr. Katz and Muddy Branch Veterinary Center for food donation.
... Montgomery Village Animal Hospital for their donation of food and for cat neuters.
Whole Pet Central in Rockville and Pet Valu in Gaithersburg and in Olney for really great food donations.

Another Happy Tale
Simon's story is definitely a "Happy Tail" considering its sad beginning.
My boyfriend and I
adopted Simon in March 2010 from MCHS. He was placed in a foster home
after being in the shelter for a couple of days. According to his
history, he was purchased from a pet store when he was 4 months old and
given up to the shelter at 10 months old. The foster home was his 5th
home in 10 months and we were to be his 6th.
