Organic Gardening & Farming Supplies
Greetings!

It's been a very busy week in the greenhouse. As of last Tuesday, we have delivered over 100,000 lettuce and broccoli transplants to organic market growers. These tranpslants will soon be harvested for sale at major supermarkets in North Carolina.

We have lots of transplants ready for your garden. Look for us at the Matthews Community Farmer's Market tomorrow morning and at the Monroe Open Air Market on Thursday afternoon at 4:00.
What products can you use (and not use) for organic gardening?

This list identifies synthetic substances that may be used, and the nonsynthetic substances that cannot be used, in organic production and handling operations. This list is established by the Secretary of Agriculture as required by the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990.

OMRI - Organic Materials Review Institute

The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is a national nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. OMRI Listed-or approved-products may be used on operations that are certified organic under the USDA National Organic Program.

The OMRI Products List is a directory of all products OMRI has determined are allowed for use in organic production, processing, and handling.

Best regards,
