Community Mural Painting Project "The Alchemy of Artistry My current work is an
exploration of the imaginative, dreamlike, inner realms, and the
age-old quest to identify life's unfolding mysteries. For me, this
realm is an intricate labyrinth of ancestral experiences, ancient
culture, ceremony, magic, symbolism and myth.Personal investigations
into my own multi-cultural heritage have brought to light the
similarities between different cultures, how they approach understanding their place in the universe, and the mythos and ritual
they create to pass this information down".

Andrea Blunt formerly of the band The Blunts, got her start as a performer on the
pop ballad circuit in local county fairs at the tender age of eleven.
At twenty-one, after living in Paris and playing music to packed
houses throughout Paris's Latin Quarter, Ms. Blunt returned to
California to record her first full-length album. Andrea has combined
years of classical piano expertise with her ethereal voice and unique
ear for chord progressions. At her most tender, Ms. Blunt's voice
paints vivid, delicate pictures in the style of Joni Mitchell circa
"Blue." Combining her raw emotion with political subject matter, Ms.
Blunt is unlike any other singer song-writer in her age bracket._________________________________________________ August 22nd Saturday 6:00-11:00pm $15 WOMANSONG A Celebration of Women's Original Voices & Songs Proceeds Benefiting the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center

"For those in need of having their dervish whirled, the Bay Area's Fishtank Ensemble are the rompin', stompin' leaders of
cross-pollinated Gypsy music. French fiddler Fabrice Martinez paid
dues gigging Europe in a mule-drawn caravan, including stints in
Romani villages. El Douje is the master of 21st-century flamenco
guitar, while Aaron Seeman is the king of punk accordion. Audience
eyes tend to focus on Ursula Knudson, not only for her virtuosic saw
playing and a voice that sings in octaves not yet invented, but also
for her sensual beauty. The mix includes a Japanese shamisen player
and a rock-bottom upright bassist, and we have a young band that is
one of the most thrilling live acts on the planet." Michael Simmons, LA Weeklyhttp://www.fishtankensemble.com/press.php __________________________________________________
