Greetings!
The summer is in full swing, and I'm sure many of you are on vacation, but take a minute to mark the dates of these important upcoming diocesan events in your calendar, especially those having to do with the upcoming Bishop Transition.
Bishop-Elect Knisely comes to Rhode Island the first week of September to spend a few months meeting people and learning about our diocese before he becomes our official Bishop at his November Consecration. It will be an exciting fall for us all!
Blessings,
Ruth Meteer Communications Director Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island

Episcopal Charities 2012
Celebrating and Continuing a Great Tradition -
60 Years of "Feeding the Hungry"
SUMMERTIME . . . .
and the living is easy. Our lifestyles change in the summer - we relax more, are outside more - eating, being by the ocean, watching sports, enjoying activities like the Tall Ships, free concerts, Waterfire. . . . .
But for many Rhode Islanders, there is no change in their lives because it's summer. Their needs for shelter, food, health care, crisis intervention, basic and critical needs . . . and peace continue.
As you thank God for the rejuvenating changes of summer, remember those for whom not much seems to change.
By "Pulling Together" we form a team that makes life better for all
Rhode Islanders.
Please make your gift to Episcopal Charities.
Ways to Give:
- Donate online with the button below or on the donation page at www.episcopalri.org/charities
