9am to 4pm (doors open at 8:30)
Where: AIPSO Facility 302 Central Ave

This year's Learn and Lead will tackle the issue of communicating successfully in the 21st century, and will provide practical, hands-on information so that you can return to your home church with concrete ideas about how to communicate to effectively and cost effectively strengthen community within your church's current membership, as well as outside of it.

ConvocationConvocation 2012

When Friday March 9th & 10th 2012

Where Save the Date, location TBD

Description Working toward the goal of creating a Diocesan mission focus of "Feeding the Hungry," the Mission Task Force has taken the lead role in planning Convocation 2012 with guest Sara Miles, author of "Take This Bread" and "Jesus Freak." Sara brings a unique and refreshing perspective on worship and what it means to be a Christian.

Working out of the Church of Saint Gregory of Nyssa in San Francisco, she has built a thriving food pantry ministry feeding over 1200 families each week. In this brief YouTube video Sara elegantly restates what we all, as Christians, know as our mission in life.

30 hour famine logoEpiscopal Charities Gives Thanks

We are so very grateful and thankful donors and volunteers who have given their support and commitment to helping so many of our fellow Rhode Islanders who are in fragile situations and living on the edge. Each year, social service agencies throughout the state receive funds to serve the most fragile people. It is because of our donors and volunteers that people from these agencies are able to help so many that have so little.

Pledges now total $380,000, putting the campaign to 82% of its $450,000 goal. We will be granting 80 social service agencies funds to serve the most needy. Decisions for these grants were made by recognizing the most critical needs in our state.

If you would like to make a year-end donation, please contact the Charities Office, at 275 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02903, 274-4500, ext. 234 for Peggy.

Let's continue a great tradition
