Episcopal Charities 2011
Rhode Island is, no doubt, facing challenging times. The needs of our neighbors continue to increase with unemployment, hunger and homelessness, just to name a few.
Episcopal Charities has helped local non-profit agencies provide individuals and families with the counseling, education, life skills, support and services they need to improve their situations and lead productive and fulfilling lives. By recognizing the special qualities and unique circumstances of the people we are asked to help, we are able to work with them - side by side - to help them make meaningful, positive, and hopefully, long-lasting life changes.
The mission of Episcopal Charities is to bring hope, comfort and healing to Rhode Islanders.
Pledges now total $364,000 and we're hoping to reach our goal of $450,000 before years end. Episcopal Charities is presently sending out an appeal to those who have donated in the past year or two, asking them to support this important mission once again in 2011.
If you have not made a contribution yet, please be prayerful about what a difference your generosity can do to help so many in Rhode Island whose needs are great. With your gift and a caring heart, we continue to be a link between healers and those needing healing.
Congratulations and many thanks to our donors and volunteers for their support and commitment in healing the gaps, hurts, and brokenness in somany of our neighbors who are living on the edge.
By reaching our goal, we can all know that, as a Diocese, we take a responsible role in this community to give hope and opportunity to those who live in desperate situations.
You don't have to be rich to make a difference.
All you need is a caring heart!
