Renewal of Ordination Vows

Description:All are welcome to come participate in the annual renewal of our Clergy's Ordination Vows. Clergy dress is requested to be surplice with red stole. If you desire to vest, please allow enough time to do so in the choir room so that you are seated for the start of the meditations at 9:30am. Following the 3 meditations [about 7-10 minutes each] will be a brief period of silence,
the Chrism Mass and then lunch in Synod Hall. Coffee and tea will be available in Synod Hall at 8:45am should you arrive early.

Conversations on the Charter for Lifelong Formation

Description: In July 2009, the 76th General Convention of the Episcopal Church approved adoption of The Charter for Life Long Christian Formation and identified the goal to see to it implemented in all dioceses. Organ/Harpsichord Concert: Ian Watson
When: Sunday, March 14, 2010, 4:00 PM Where: Christ Church Westerly 7 Elm Street Westerly, RI 02891 Description: The Arts Commission of Christ Church will present a concert of music for organ and harpsichord, performed by Ian Watson. Ian Watson, Director of Music at St. Paul's Cathedral, was born in England in the Buckinghamshire village of Wooburn Common. He won a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London, at the age of 14, and his first organ appointment was at St. Margaret's, Westminster Abbey, at the age of 19 - a position he held for ten years. For this concert in Westerly, Ian plans to perform works of J.S. Bach, Buxtehude, Sweelinck, Flor, Peeters, and others. The concert is offered free of charge to the public, and will be followed by a reception in the church's Parish Hall. Goodwill donations are welcomed. This program is the Rev. Dr. James E. Annand Concert for 2010, funded in part by an endowment established in Father Annand's memory.
