Greetings!
Hello!
We are well into the (porch) swing of summer here in Rhode Island, but that doesn't mean things have slowed down around the diocese. With General Convention from July 7-17, things have actually been quite busy. To learn more about RI at General Convention click here.
Things have also picked up a bit for our Anglo-Catholic parishes. Both S. Stephen's in Providence and St. John the Evangelist in Newport have entered exciting new phases of their ministries!
St. John the Evangelist, Newport instituted a new rector on June 29th. The Diocese would like to welcome the Rev. R. Trent Fraser to the family. Great things are in store for St. John's. You can read about the event and view a photo slide show on our blog.
At S. Stephen's, Providence The Rev. Deacon Michael Tuck has arrived to serve both as Curate at S. Stephen's and as the new Chaplain to Brown/RISD. S. Stephen's is located in the heart of Brown University, and we all have high hopes for this new joint venture! Read more about it on the blog
See, it really has been busy! I'm sure some of you have had the languid summer everyone imagines..Perhaps the rest of us will get our porch swinging in during the month of August, while Bishop Wolf is be away on vacation.
Happy Vacations,
Ruth Meteer Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island
