Diocesan Episcopal Church Women's Spiritual Retreat With Author Ann Hood

Description: This two-day overnight retreat for women is features Ann Marie Hood, the nationally acclaimed author of Somewhere Off the Coast of Maine, The Properties of Water, Waiting to Vanish, and The Knitting Circle. She has won a "Best American Spiritual Writing Award" as well as many other accolades as a storyteller. Canonicus is set on over 300 acres of meadow and woodland with a picturesque lake in the center. Accommodations are limited so early registration is recommended. The cost of the overnight retreat with three meals is $120. Registration requires a $35 deposit (scholarships are available) and registration must be completed by September 8th, 2009.

Description: Steve Brightwell, National Director of Church Army USA will present a one day workshop that is an introduction to the Alcoholics Anonymous 12 Step Recovery Program and explains Steps 1 - 4. Lunch is included.
