On Saturday, August 6, Keith Martin and a host of SCM experts will give a free presentation on car collecting at the Allure of the Automobile exhibit at the Portland Art Museum. 

Outside the museum, the shaded streets will be lined with vintage Porsches to be ogled and photographed, care of local Porsche clubs. See the complete Cars In The Park schedule here. eBay Motors Catch of the Week: 1970 Volvo 1800E  

A limited number of SCMers and Platinum subscribers will have the chance to get up close and personal with the world-class Monterey consignments at both RM Auctions and Mecum Auctions on Thursday, August 18.  

From 11 am to noon, SCM Senior Auction Analyst Carl Bomstead will team up with RM consignment specialists Don Rose and Alain Squindo for a tour of  their headlining lots. Then, from 2 pm to 3 pm, SCM Managing Editor Jim Pickering and Mecum Marketing Director Sam Murtaugh will take a close look at Mecum's star cars.

Registration is very limited, so RSVP right away. Send an email to Ryan Brinkley and indicate whether you would like to be a part of the the RM tour, the Mecum tour, or both. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
