McCourt Label Upgrades Roll Finishing Equipment
McCourt has upgraded its capability to automatically re-wind roll jobs with a new Vectra Turret from AB Graphics. The Model STR2100-4 turret will handle a 21" web and roll sizes up to 13.75". The machine will accommodate a variety of cores sizes from 1" diameter on up. The machine fully automates the winding of roll jobs directly off press including automatic core loading, taping, and roll ejection. This will greatly increase press speed, throughput and quality of the finished rolls. The turret can be fit to any of McCourt's nine presses.
The enhanced capability will greatly increase McCourt's competitive position on a variety of products including:
- large volume shipments
- small core jobs down to 1"
- short length roll jobs

99% On-Time Delivery Status Achieved!
At the recent review of McCourt's ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, it was announced that for all jobs shipped in the third quarter of 2011, 99.08% of them arrived to our customers on-time! This percentage breaks the previous record of 98.52% achieved in the second quarter of 2010. |

McCourt Adds Epson Proofing System
To complement our new digital plate equipment, McCourt recently installed an Epson Stylus Pro 7900 Proofing Edition. This next generation digital proofing system produces fast, accurate and affordable flexo label proofs.
Customers who've received our Epson proofs have been impressed with the superior process and spot color accuracy. In addition, we'll achieve consistent color performance week after week, month after month, and year after year as a result of the system's intelligent calibration technology.

McCourt Label has a legacy of commitment to the local community. In 2011 the tradition of giving continued, with our employees generously contributing to organizations such as March of Dimes, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and United Way.
During this holiday season, our sales and admin departments are purchasing toys and clothing for the local "ELF Fund". The mission of this program is to ensure that no boy, girl or senior citizen in our community awakes on Christmas morning without gifts. | |

2012 UPS Rates
On 11/21/11, we received a published rate increase notification from UPS. Below we share this information with you, our valued customer.
Effective January 2, 2012, UPS rates will increase as follows:
* UPS Ground services will increase a net 4.9% through a combination of a 5.9% increase in rates and a 1 percentage point reduction in the UPS Ground fuel surcharge.
* UPS Air and International services will increase a net 4.9% through a combination of a 6.9% increase in rates and a 2 percentage point reduction in the UPS Air and International services fuel surcharge.
* UPS Next Day AirŪ Freight and UPS 2nd Day AirŪ Freight rates for shipments within and between the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico will increase 5.9%. UPS 3 Day FreightŪ rates will remain unchanged.
