Holistic Approaches for Healthy Skin Care - FREE CLASS )
FREE Class at Alaska Center for Acupuncture January 2008

On Wednesday, January 23rd from 7-8pm, Alaska Center for Acupuncture will present a FREE class on Holistic Approaches for Healthy Skin Care

Our skin is an amazing organ. It is the largest organ of our body and is designed to protect all our internal structures. Skin allows the passage of moisture to maintain its hydration and cool the body. It also protects the structures of the body from minor injury and harmful substances. Because it is exposed to the elements, bacteria, viruses and fungus daily, it is important to know how we can assist our skin to remain strong and healthy. Please join us for a discussion of skin care covering:

Dry skin due to seasonal problems or poor health
Care for minor irritations, itching or minor burns
Cleansing and healing minor wounds and bruises
Psoriasis, what it is and natural treatments
Natural care for eczema
How to treat and prevent fungal infections
Discussion of protection from common bacterial infections

A variety of natural skin care products and where to obtain them will be on display. If you are currently experiencing skin problems and have found solutions, please feel free to bring your remedies to share and discuss with the group.

Please pre-register by calling Alaska Center for Acupuncture at 745-8688. Space is limited, so call early!
