Happy New Year from the Alaska Center for Acupuncture!
We are starting the New Year by bringing in an Office Manager. Luann Bower will be joining us at the end of January. We're excited to have her working with us. Luann's assistance will help us expand upon the extraordinary, patient-centered care that is the foundation of our acupuncture center.
The New Year is often approached with committments to making life-affirming changes. We are here to help you refresh your resolutions so they become a reality rather than dim memories from New Year's Eve.
Below you will find information on our next FREE workshop on Sensible Approaches to Weight Loss. Don't miss this one! We are going to provide you with information you won't find anywhere else. Call 745-8688 as soon as possible to reserve your space.
Several people have told us that they did not receive our Fall Newsletter with links to pictures from our September/October trip to England and Scotland. We have posted the link directly below. Past copies of newsletters are always available on our website.
We look forward to our continuing role as your resource for natural healing in the Mat-Su Valley. We will continue our committment to bringing you informative, compelling monthly presentations from local health care providers who want to empower you to take control of your health. If you know of anyone who would benefit from our services or workshops, please tell them about us.

Lets face it- losing weight is a challenge. With conflicting guidance coming from the media and various health gurus, it is hard to know where to start. In this workshop, we will liberate you from the need for a weight loss expert. You will take an empowered step forward to become the master of your own body. Everyone knows that you need to burn more calories than you take in to lose weight. For most people that means 3 things are needed: 1.) Regular aerobic exercise 2.) A properly nourished body 3.) Efficient, stable body metabolism. Most diets fail to deliver in each of these three essential categories. Come join us for a lively discussion about weight loss from a new and radically different perspective. Participants will be given the knowledge and tools to start losing weight in a healthy and sensible way. In this workshop we will:
• Show you how to stop food cravings instantly. • Reveal that you already have all the tools you need to start losing weight NOW! • Debunk current nutritional dogma that sabotage your efforts to lose weight! • Show you how to exercise in a fun and practical way that fits your busy schedule. • Discuss how acupuncture can be used to achieve your weight loss goals.
This workshop will be a 3-way presentation by Alaska Center for Acupuncture, Body in Balance Physical Therapy and Red Moon Rising Herbs.
Our last few workshops were standing room only, so if you would like to attend, please call as soon as possible to reserve a space: 745-8688
