While these sessions do not address specific health ailments they are powerfully effective at taking the edge off of daily stress and alleviating the debilitating effects of stress on health and vitality. Eating according to the season One of the best and easiest ways to support your health is to eat foods that harmonize your body with the season. For Autumn and Winter, that means eating lots of warm nourishing stews, soups and delicious root vegetables. Squash, potatoes, carrots and beets are great to include in your diet this time of year. A quick and easy way to enjoy a variety of root vegetables to is roast them. You can make a large amount and then have leftovers for lunch or dinner. We always try our best to use organic foods, which can be challenging in Alaska if you don’t grow your own. Arctic Organics is our source in the Valley for great veggies. They only use biologically sustainable farming techniques and their soil and produce is guaranteed to be toxin free. Their potatoes, beets and carrots are wonderful! If you would like to join their email list to receive updates on what they have available, contact them at beans@alaska.com You can also contact them at 746-1087 to learn more.
