    Stress Reduction

De-stress Relaxation Treatments Added to Services

Due to the overwhelming postive feedback we received from our grand-opening introductory de-stress treatments, we are now offering these relaxing treatments for $60.00 for a 45 minute session. While these sessions do not address specific health ailments they are powerfully effective at taking the edge off of daily stress and alleviating the debilitating effects of stress on health and vitality.

If you have a specific health concern you would like to address, you will be better served by a full consultation followed by our regular acupuncture treatment sessions.

If you would like to schedule a de-stress treatment or learn more about which of our treatment options is best for you, please call us at 745-8688.

    Cold and Flu Season

    Cold and Flu Season-Not necessarily!

Many people think of this time of year as cold and flu season – but it doesn’t have to be if you take the appropriate precautions and give yourself the extra care late fall and winter demand. There are many ways to prevent a cold and many ways to get over a cold or winter flu quickly if you do get one.

At the first sign of a cold call us! The moment you start feeling a scratchy throat, sniffles, or achy head and neck is the moment to get treatment. Early treatment with acupuncture and herbs can often help you to avoid the cold completely. For people who know they get frequent colds in the winter, we can also start you on a course of herbs designed to keep you from getting sick in the first place.

    Seasonal Foods

    Eating according to the season

One of the best and easiest ways to support your health is to eat foods that harmonize your body with the season. For Autumn and Winter, that means eating lots of warm nourishing stews, soups and delicious root vegetables. Squash, potatoes, carrots and beets are great to include in your diet this time of year. A quick and easy way to enjoy a variety of root vegetables to is roast them. You can make a large amount and then have leftovers for lunch or dinner. We always try our best to use organic foods, which can be challenging in Alaska if you don’t grow your own.

Arctic Organics is our source in the Valley for great veggies. They only use biologically sustainable farming techniques and their soil and produce is guaranteed to be toxin free. Their potatoes, beets and carrots are wonderful! If you would like to join their email list to receive updates on what they have available, contact them at beans@alaska.com You can also contact them at 746-1087 to learn more.
