Robin Hood Congratulates DreamIt Ventures on Their Recent Launch
    DreamIt Team Picture

Three Robin Hood members, David Bookspan, Mike Levinson, and Steven Welch, have launched DreamIt Ventures, a pre-seed-stage venture firm, to address a pressing funding gap. DreamIt is targeting new entrepreneurs who generally won't have much, if any, experience running a company. To counter that, it plans to select a group of experienced business people ("strategists") to work with the entrepreneurs ("innovators)." It plans to provide 8 to 12 teams of entrepreneurs with money and assistance to develop a prototype of a technology product or service over a three-month period. After completing their prototypes, the budding entrepreneurs will make presentations to early-stage funders. Bookspan, Levinson and Welch hope those that get money will set up their companies in the region.
