August marks the beginning of the Harvest Season in Northern California's Wine Country - marking one of the most crucial steps in the process of winemaking. It's also a very exciting time to visit the wineries. Freshly picked grapes are brought in daily from the vineyard to the production facilities. Winery staff are busy assessing crops as they begin the process of turning the new harvest into exciting future vintages.
