Omaha, Neb., (Sept. 7) - Omaha Children's Museum, 500 S. 20th Street, will host the Omaha Healthy Family Fair in partnership with Methodist Health System on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8 to 10 a.m. The event is free and includes admission to the museum for those who enter before 10 a.m.
"We are proud to partner with Methodist on this event that brings healthy living to the center of attention for children and families," said Lindy Hoyer, Omaha Children's Museum executive director. "There are so many great ways for families to stay active and healthy and we're proud teach children about them and showcase the great resources our community has to offer at a fun special event."
The event will feature activities, information and resources for children and parents on staying active and making healthy choices. Activities will include a rock climbing wall, bounce house, snacks from Whole Foods Market, dance and cheerleading performances, Kids Yoga and Zumba demonstrations, Tae Kwon Do demonstrations and much more.
There will also be drawings for giveaways including yoga classes, ice skating classes, cookbooks, tickets to the Rose Theater, Defy Gravity jump passes and more.
Participating groups include Mary Lorraine's Dance Center, Defy Gravity, Exceptional Athletics Nebraska, Hyp-Yoga, Omaha Parks and Recreation, The Rose, Midwest Tae Kwon Do, YMCA, Omaha Healthy Kids Alliance, Child Saving Institute, Midwest Child Care Association, United Health Care and Figure Skating Club of Omaha.
