Appoints New Members
(Omaha, NE) January 7, 2010 - The Board of Directors of Omaha Children's Museum has appointed seven new members to three-year terms. New board members include Brian Boor of ConAgra Foods, Inc.; Linda Brandl of Union Pacific; David Cota, Jr. of First National Bank; Timothy Crockett of HDR; Jason John of KPMG; Jennifer Mosser of Gallup; and Teresa Rogers of Cavalry Asset Management.
 
Lisa Gravelle has also joined the Board of Directors for one year as president-elect of the
museum's Rainbow Connector's Guild.
 
Board members serving on the Executive Committee for the 2010 term are President Roberta L. Christensen, Past President Mark Mowat, Secretary Tim Bird, Treasurer Greg Brokke, Member-At-Large Chuck Campbell and Board Advisor Sandy Parker. Lindy Hoyer is the executive director of Omaha Children's Museum.
 
New Member Biographies
 
Linda Brandl, Union Pacific
Linda Brandl was named vice president of Union Pacific Railroad's National Customer Service Center in July of 2006. Prior to this assignment, Brandl was the president of Union Pacific Distribution Services, (a wholly owned subsidiary company of Union Pacific Railroad). Over her 21-year career with Union Pacific, she has had various responsibilities for marketing, sales, operations, training and quality. Brandl is past president of LEAD, Union Pacific's employee resource group for women, and is currently vice chair of the Association of American Railroad's Customer Service Committee. She also serves on the board of Transentric, a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Pacific Corporation, and is active in the community. Linda received both her BSBA and MBA degrees from Creighton University in Omaha. She and her husband, Matt, have four children, a girl and three boys.
 
Brian Boor, ConAgra Foods
Brian Boor is a Senior Director of Sales and Customer Operations for ConAgra Foods, Inc.  Prior to his 6 year tenure with ConAgra Foods, Brian was employed for 11 years with Data Transmission Network Corporation, ending his tenure with DTN as the Vice President of Sales and Customer Service.  His primary areas of responsibility have included new market development, along with global sales, service and distribution management.  As an undergraduate student, Brian attended Kansas State University, receiving a bachelor's degree in Pre-Med and Accounting.  As a graduate student, he completed his MBA at Creighton University.  Brian and his wife, Kelly, have a six-year-old son and an eight-year-old daughter. 
 
David Cota, Jr., First National Bank
David Cota, Jr. is senior managing director of investment banking for First National Bank. Previous roles include senior managing director, First National Capital Markets and vice president, Corporate Sales for the Capital Markets group. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance. Prior to First National, David worked for JP Morgan Chase Securities in their Dallas, Texas, office. David is a graduate of Leadership Omaha - Class 28 and maintains an active involvement in a number of community organizations. Cota is currently the Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Nebraska Bankers Association. He and his wife, Stephanie, have three children.
 
Timothy R. Crockett, HDR
Timothy Crockett is a senior vice president and manager for HDR's Central Region. He is responsible for operations in HDR offices throughout the region and has overseen projects including: Platte River Stage Change Study; Papio-Missouri River NRD, Papio Dam Site 1 & 3C; CargillWaste Disposal Facility; Metropolitan Utilities District, Platte West Water Production Facility Design; Douglas County Recycling and Disposal Facility; Omaha Public Power District, Nebraska City Station Unit 2; and the Pheasant Point Landfill. Crockett has been with HDR for 15 years and is a member of numerous professional organizations. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and a board member of the Nebraska State Board of Health. He holds a Master of Science degree in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He and his wife, Mary, have three daughters.
 
Jason John, KPMG
Jason John is a senior manager in the auditing practice of KPMG LLP.  He has been with KPMG LLP for eight years and is a certified public accountant.  He specializes in accounting for energy, private equity, and not-for-profit organizations.  John also serves on KPMG's Involve Committee that focuses on providing charitable serves to various organizations.  A graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, he holds an accounting degree.  John currently serves on the Siena Francis House Board of Directors.  He and his wife, Amber, have a son and a daughter. 
 
Jennifer Mosser, Gallup
Jennifer Mosser is director of talent sourcing at Gallup. Since 1993, she has worked in a variety of roles in the organization from management to recruiting. Her work at Gallup has taken her across the globe, recruiting executives in the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and throughout the United States. She leads Gallup's campus recruiting at colleges and universities throughout the eastern United States and recruits candidates for partners and business development positions in North America. Mosser holds a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is married and resides in Omaha with her husband, Matt, and two sons.
 
Teresa Rogers, Cavalry Asset Management
Teresa Rogers is a Founding Member, Partner and Portfolio Manager for Cavalry Asset Management, a hedge fund which began operations in 2003 and is headquartered in San Francisco. She works closely with the Firm's Managing Partner in managing a long/short portfolio focused primarily in the technology sector.  From 1995 through 2001 she was a founder and senior equity analyst at Bowman Capital. In her role there, she directly managed and held profit and loss responsibility for over $1 billion in investments in the communications sector, and led a team of three analysts. Prior to joining Bowman, she served as a technology equity analyst at Tiger Management Corporation in New York City from 1993 to 1995. Rogers received a Bachelor of Science in business with a concentration in finance from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.  She and her husband, David, have three young children.
